fetchmail/LDAP may be of use for future incoming mail but that still

couldn't really see what it could do for me in this situation.

MHonArc has lots and lots of documentation for converting email formats - 
which was your original question. See under what mail formats MHonArc 
supports or see the Eudora FAQ.
