[LUG] Ntfs file systems! Arrgg

Hi people!

Have been quietly reading the LUGs postings for some time now very helpful they have been, and find myself in need of a little assitance :)

Currently I have a Dual Boot System using Lilo with 2 hard drives.
Primary HD contains Win2k
Secondary HD has Mandrake 8.0 (A much more fun OS!)

The one fly in the ointment is my inability to access the NTFS primary HD whilst
tinkering with linux??

Apparently my kernal 2.4 vintage has read only access for Ntfs file systems? On checking i find its incorporated as a module.

Do you think i can mount the file system! Can i heck as like...
looked around at a few Howto's for the mount command and it goes...

mount -t ntfs /dev/hda1 /mnt/disk

Only problem is it dont work, any ideas :)

Thanks lee.
