On the side of Data Mirroring:

	 OpenAFS from IBM if the best scalable system, this is the bells and whistles option

	Coda & Intermezzo are also out there but kind of "Work in progress"

	For simple Master Slave Systems - Use DRBD, it is simple and it works.
