Re: [LUG] Freenode (and matrix bridge) murdered by bot

 

Hi,

I've been hanging out in the services channel, and the rule was, If you
spammed (mentioned) the 'other place' then they murdered the channel.
I mentioned that we had a duel presence on both networks and the
response was if the founder/oper asks in #freenode-services they'll
restore it.

They're not officially saying it, but it looks like anything with libera
in the topic got nuked (some channels restored it seems if they asked
about it).
They are saying it's meant to catch anyone being 'forced' to move (seems
like the originally meant a redirect based on the freenode post but I
guess mentioning the new network is 'forcing' in the bot's eyes).

Points about current ownership, bots and admins not withstanding.
