Nothing wrong with nomachine at all, just fails to make the shortlist for the stated reasons.

Not quite sure what it fails on, its free and anyone can connect <shrug> works for us...

Don't really understand what's ambiguous about that for you to be unsure of?

Glad it works for you though - we obviously have a different set of requirements. I need a centralized federated remote management center, not just adhoc connections to random machines. Hopefully that makes it a bit clearer.
