Jitsi works on Mozilla Firefox, [that is how I use it]; it also works on
Google Chrome or Google derivatives like Chromium, Vivaldi.
I have not tested it on MS EDGE.

It will always ask for permission to use your microphone and camera, if
you have in build mic and camera it uses these, or your head set if
attached. You need to chose.
