Have google gone silly again?
Looks like it:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1592407
Quick fix is to open the config editor in Thunderbird and set the
following to TRUE:
general.useragent.compatMode.firefox
Restart and go through the setup again - at the stage where the Google
oauth check has been failing it will now go through as per normal.
I'm guessing this is setting up a new instance rather than a previously
working system suddenly failing?
It was calendar causing the problem and I dug in a bit and it seems it
was cookies - now have to allow accounts.google.com when google.com was
working just fine until yesterday.
