Whatever you do, remember that the colours fade and change with time. My rearlier slides taken from 1960 onwards, on Agfa CT18, are showing these signs. Good quality projectors cost little on Ebay.

Keeping an eye on this thread. My late grandfather was an avid photographer, and
we've found thousands of 35mm slides, all organised by date, stretching back to
the 70s!
I'd like to scan them digitally though, but sending them off to specialists is
bound to cost a lot.
Ideally I'd like to scan them manually, but as Neil says - varying good and bad
reviews.
