Hi Paul,

Thanks for that. I tried Mint 18.3 with a 4Gb stick but it siad minimum space required 5.6Gb - possibly a new standard. I had an 8Gb stick free so I installed on that and it works fine.

With mint you can download either LMDE (mint debian) Cinnamon or Mate,
so they work out at < 4gb.
