<lots of snippage>I use mythtv via the linhes.org install, with 4 DVB-S tuners, just works no fuss (well on occasions the remote glitches and sometimes it needs a reboot). Its been running on various hardware since the end of 2005 (I think I am on the 2nd motherboard).
The biggest issue is when channel details change and I usually just hammer the DB to make it work again.
