What does "modinfo iwlwifi" get you?
The kernel is looking for different versions of the iwlwifi module under
/lib/firmware: if you do "ls /lib/firmware/iwlwifi-6000*" you'll see the
revisions of that driver present on your system. Your PC probably only
has iwlwifi-6000-4.ucode so what you're seeing is the kernel trying to
load the newer (and missing) iwlwifi-6000-6.ucode and
iwlwifi-6000-5.ucode blobs before finally finding and loading
iwlwifi-6000-4.ucode.
You could probably update your firmware packages and check to see you're
not missing any newer proprietary drivers as suggested. Maybe enable the
proposed and backport repos too.
