Hi Guys

Completely off-topic but since most of you are whizz kids, I thought I
would ask for some help please?

I'm looking for help in wiring up an electric wheel to a push bike and also
generating electricity from a washing motor. The idea is to be able to
pedal normally or run an electric wheel to power the four wheel bike
(already built). Then to be able to mount it on supports and then pedal and
run an old electric motor. Turning this motor makes power and drives a
blender or bubble machine.

You're much better off skipping the inefficient energy conversion steps and driving the blender or bubble fan directly from the bicycle.

There are already many projects that do this - just google for bicycle blender, etc. (and several places where you can hire them ready made too)

But if you want to introduce energy losses, then look at a proper small alternator - these are already designed for bikes to bolt onto the frame and rub on the tyre, or you can belt-drive them off a wheel. Then you need an inverter to take this to 230v to drive appliances. You lose energy at every step of the way, so don't really do this.

And do note that if you're lucky, fit, healthy and well-fed you can generate about 100 watts pedalling a bike. But not for very long.

Read this: http://michaelbluejay.com/electricity/bicyclepower.html and many other similar sites...

It's a fun project, but ...
