There's no point. you're wasting your own time, so unless you have time to
waste just hang up. Most of them now will hang up relatively quickly and
move on to the next, more gullible person.

If you have the time and the inclination why not keep them as long as possible? The more of us do that the less profit these thieves make and the less incentive they have to do it.
