I don't know about the particular setup of the LUG's server, but
assuming the website runs on its own (virtual) server, this should be
possible (and a good idea). Let's Encrypt for some Linux distros
involves nothing but running a script. (I've only used it on CentOS,
where it was a bit more complicated, but still not rocket science.)
