However if you have a B+ then the kernel will work on the v2, but you're strongly advised to upgrade it before moving the SD card over - or just get a new SD card and stick the latest Raspbian on it. You put Ubunto on a Pi? So you're running the slow soft-fp code?Seriously - upgrade to Raspbian - it'll run much faster as it's compiled specifically for the Pi's CPU which can use hardware floating point on the v6 ARM.
