No idea what you mean by "ubu" here.

However if you have a B+ then the kernel will work on the v2, but you're
strongly advised to upgrade it before moving the SD card over - or just
get a new SD card and stick the latest Raspbian on it. (Then upgrade it
again)

I have the Ubuntu version on. I also have rather a lot of packagesdownloaded - several hours worth and it would be nice to 'upgrade'rather than start again from scratch.
