Re: [LUG] Not the usual suspects

So I have started the process of switching ISP to Zen.
I am being told by Zen that I need a MAC code in order to do a quick change over from the joy-full TalkTalk service.
Zen say that I currently receive SMPF and that my line is restricted to 3.3Mb
Talktalk say that I currently am on a LLU and that there isn't a MAC code for this type of service. So they refuse to give me a code.

Please can anyone clear this up for me and let me know who is right or wrong.

Kind regards

Oh dear. Â:-(

I've only ever experienced three routers;Â A NetGear, a ZyXel and this
Technicolour. I found the NetGear the easiest to deal with, by far.

I got lucky;Â The guy that built the house I live in (a converted
milking shed) fitted plastic pipe between floors to feed telephone
cables through (1) . It came in very handy for feeding ethernet cable
through, too. As a result, we're all wired here. Wireless would be a
dead loss with 2-3ft thick walls.

"One day...." as they say. Â:-)

(1)Â It was about the only good thing he did, the renovation was done on
the cheap. All the windows and doors had to be replaced because they
weren't fitted correctly. As a result, the place was like a wind tunnel.
