Failing that is this designed to connect all the time to the server or are you just sharing the odd file with each device, may be worth looking at services such as dropbox for that. Either that set up the server as a NAS box (or add those services) and add a wireless card. so the mobile devices can connect. If anyone can help further it would be helpful I am a little out of my depth here.
