Hmmm. I have just tested Photoprint 0.4.2-pre2 and got an A2 jpeg image
to print out onto 4 A4 pages. What parameters did you set in Photoprint?

For what you want you would probably need to set:

Poster Layout

Size 594 x 841 (so this is an A1 final image)
Tiles 4 x 4 (so 16 A4 pages)
Overlap - this depends on printer page margins

Page Size

A4 (this needs to match the tiles above)

Margins - I'd use 0 and 0 to start

I think that Photoprint
(http://blackfiveimaging.co.uk/index.php?article=02Software%2F01PhotoPrint)

allows you to print a poster split over several pages (Layout > Poster),
with controlled overlap of the sections. I've not tried it myself
though, and I guess it depends on the image format, although imagemagick
can convert most things to jpeg.

Hope this helps

I dont often print things but I have a large (a1) image of insect
phylogeny that is impossible to view properly on screen so I'm
attempting to print it out. Firefox just wants to do the left hand
side and everything else seems to want to print it on one page.
Anything I can do to print out a nice array of stick together images?

That one doesnt seem to allow a large image - whatever I try the image
is shrunk into one a4 page! PosteRazor sort of works but you have to
save the PDF it makes and then print that. Firefox used to be able to
do it but not any more...

I'm doing it the otherway round - I want to print an A1 picture on a lot of A4s
