hm.  since this is apropos de-googling, it is probably worth
mentioning that bookfi is crawling with advertising (or so i hear).

i use lynx to browse for the books i want, and then examine the page
source of the web page featuring each book to locate the actual media
file.

so although the ads aren't really a concern for me, depending on how
you access the site, they might be for you.
