[LUG] HTC Desire Reboot

I seem caught in reboot hell with my htc. I cannot start it. I cannot 
reboot it. I cannot factory reset

The whole sorry saga started when I looked at a twitter account and the 
system froze. Unplugged the battery and started again. Nothing happened

I seem caught on a bootloader screen that says across the top
