In all cases, the applicable law is the law where the server resides.
*However* due to the anal relationship between the USA and UK, US
law /can/ also be applied to servers in the UK. Rarely is the converse
true, unfortunately.
Julian's info WRT yahoo, amazon et al are all applicable to their
servers in the USA, IIRC.
