I use http://http.debian.net/debian in sources.list which, IIRC, uses a
round robin method to connect you to a suitable server. I've not had
problems in at least six years.
Or as others have suggested, you can use methods to find the 'best' one
for your location. When I did that, bizarrely, it wanted to connect me
to one of the German mirrors.
