Regardless of political parties or geography apparently. Maybe this is
a side effect of having far too many career politicans.

Especially something which was already illegal in the first place. If
anything having multiple laws against the same thing is likely to
create loopholes for "professional" criminals (and their lawyers) to
exploit.

Except the likes of "Hollywood accounting" appear to require every
film ever make makes a "loss" :)
