Ok cool,  As i Said it doesn;t matter which distribution , my point was
if you mention Linux you have to explain what that is, (given its
officially the kernel) so best to say the distro name,  ubuntu, mint, 
debian,  you can simply say its an alternative to windows that is FREE.  

save the techy stuff for later.
