My understanding is that the majority of Nook readers are locked-down
Android devices. Certainly there are an absolute tonne of resources
out there detailing how to turn your Nook into a full Android
tablet/mini-tablet.

Personally I use Aldiko on my Android phone and tablet. It supports
ePub files, and a bunch of other stuff too. Earlier versions did seem
to require that you put your ebooks into a specific folder so that
Aldiko would actually find them when you did an "import", but I'm not
sure if this has been changed in later versions or not.

Grant.
