Doesn't seem to matter anyway - my wife reboots it just as often as she
did her XP box when things stop working. e.g. last night skype stopped
working correctly - so she rebooted her PC and it worked. Go figure.

I had to do this when my laptop no longer could "see" my desktop (using smb), though it could "see" my wife's old desktop. Ditto sound using any and all available software. Meanwhile her new Windows 7 laptop (free from work) did find her machine the first time but no longer (I have instructions to fix this)! Interesting she thinks W7 is crap having used her Mac for a while.

Maybe it sometimes does not suspend properly with just the lid closing (Dell).

Lid closing seems OK the AAO's, but I had her PC in auto hibernate mode - but that doesn't seem that good, so we turned it off.

Still - she only rebooted both her PC and the laser printer three times this morning before calling me... when I talked her through the re-enable printer thing which needs the root password. I'm going to have to fix that, somehow...
