I have this issue with our Samsung ML4500 - the Windows "drivers" come pre-packed in a lovely setup.exe format which automatically installs the drivers and creates the printer in "Printers and Faxes" but points it to a parallel port (LPT1). If you go into "Printers and Faxes", right-click on the printer and open up the Properties you should find somewhere the details of what that printer is pointing to. If it is *not* pointing to an IP address, then you will need to click on the "add port" button and go through to add the IP address of the printer. It's a bit of an arse, but then what do you expect? :D Grant. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
