Actually it depends on the model...

Take the Atom 230/330 for instance, they do support 64-Bit (but not Intel VT) but they're desktop versions of the Atom.

Looks like the Netbook/Tablet versions don't support 64-Bit.

I'm looking at possibly getting an Atom board, not sure what to do though as I want one that will give me HD acceleration under Linux so I gather I'd have to fork out around Â100 for an Atom board with the NVidia ION chipset.

I wish AMD would hurry up and bring out the Bobcat CPUs, couple that with an NVidia ION and I'd be a happy chappie.
