I have already got used to the window controls moving. It's not really an improvement or detriment, it's just a change. I actually quite like the change. I like the fact you have a larger target for dragging and dropping windows. Ie you can use the title bar and any of the unused space on the menu bar. I don't remember it being like that before. I would have liked to see a little more colour in the standard theme though. It looks very smart, but perhaps a little too monochrome for my liking.
