Re: [LUG] saturday - show of hands

Quoting Paul Sutton <zleap@xxxxxxxxx>:

Ahh I lost my last GPG key due to a hard drive failure, I didn't bother
backing it up. I guess I could create a new one, will a note from my
mum suffice for ID :-)

Rob

Well i know you anyway I am not even sure its its essential, its just
seems to be a requirement when we do this, can anyone else comment, i
guess a driving license will do.

My driving licence is somewhere, I'll need it when I reinsure my car anyway so it's probably worth me finding it. It's a photo one and still valid since I've only had it a couple of years.

Its gpg key signing, so hardly countersigning a crb form, I don't think
it matters among friends, its more when you go to other meets with
people you have never met before that you may want to prove your
identity so it matches the name on the printed gpg key thingy . (note
the technical term there "thingy")

Yep, can't get much more technical than that :-)

I just did a search for Thingy and Google came up with...

www.Thingy-Ma-Jig.co.uk which according to google is a site with...

"Blog, Tips, Tutorials & How To's about Drupal, Apache, Linux, Lighttpd, MySQL by Nicholas Thompson, professional Drupal developer."

So, yes, Thingy is is a technical term, did you get it from whatshisname?

Rob
