recently upgraded her machine from 9.40 to 9.10 but I discovered last night that her open office no longer opens docx files She is running openoffice 3.1.1 000310m19 (Build:9420) openoffice.org-core 1:3.1.1-5ubuntu1 I can't think of anything that would prevent her doing this, unless there is an old package of something around the place. Two immediate solutions present themselves: - purge the existing openoffice and reinstall - install a fresh installation of Debian ;) (This is on my list as I then maintaining her machine is easier) However can anyone come up with an alternative?
