Maybe I'm going into the wrong shops but the HD TV's I've seen are grossly inferior to monitors of 'similar' spec And the program quality prohibits even considering crap tv purchase let alone 'enhanced' these days.

Well my Philips 32" LCD (which has a native resolution of 1366x768) is great for using as a TV for playing high definition video and stuff from my XBOX 360. Standard definition stuff looks fine on it, at least it's watchable, I tend to find that the compression on Freeview doesn't help the picture.

I've also used it as a monitor although I've found that unless I sit close to it, the text size tends to be too small to read.
