So Endsleigh Garden Centre down the A38 opposite Ivybridge will cater for both small(ish) groups in the cafe and have a dedicated meeting room.
Basically if you give them a days notice, they'll reserve some tables for the group - they're basically happy to do it on the understanding that tea, coffee, etc. will be purchased.. They have "free" Wi-Fi - it's free if you buy something then you get a half hour token... They open until 5:30pm or 7:30pm on Wednesdays.
They also have a function room available for hire at £20 an hour. That comes with Wi-Fi. Maybe a bit expensive for a group meet/talk
So the cafe might prove an alternative venue for those closer to Plymouth. However... )-:They already have their winter solstice festival stock on display and are playing carols and for that alone, I would boycott them.
