Re: [LUG] Advice on wireless strength

something like this may be way beyond your needs and perhaps means. It's
a broadband extender.
http://www.solwise.co.uk/wireless-outdoor-bridging-eoc-1650.htm

I have a slightly more expensive version to broadcast wifi to a holiday
cottage the otherside of a yard. To get a signal to the device I use
devolo/solwise "homeplugs". I can run the wire for the extender through
a ventilator over the window, but drilling a hole as for TV aerial,
would do it.

Looking at this device it would seem to have the advantage of being
easily movable, which combined with the wifi over electricity mains
would be easy to do.

Depending on how often you want outside wifi you could maybe buy a
homeplug wifi access point, attach it to an extension lead and run that
out of the window whenever needed.

If the conservatory is on the same ring main then doing an extension
with a homeplug from the router to one in the outbuilding might work,
though it would be useful to be able to test this first before spending
money.
