Turns out he was sharing some dodgy pirate copies and I got a notification from my ISP. The only way I share my wireless now is through BT FON which uses a separate IP address and you have to be registered with BT to use it so if anyone does use it for anything dodgy then it gets traced back to the registered user. If you really did still want to share your connection I'd suggest putting in a separate firewall box (maybe IP Cop or something) that can create a separate network for wireless connections although to be honest, these days 3G modems are so cheap as is Wifi access through official wireless access points (BT OpenZone etc).
