GBDirect and LearningTree both offer well known courses that are more focussed on learning specific areas of knowledge rather than qualifications. Worth considering. In answer to somebody who whined about the price of training.. it has zero to do with the cost of the software, and a great deal to do with the training and QA of both the trainers and the syllabus/course materials, as well as the running costs for venues, hardware, course materials, admin, etc. A good lecturer is worth paying dosh for, and unlike any university, good training companies have small class sizes, take feedback on trainers seriously, update material regularly and don't pad out the syllabus. Having said that, some of the best value can be had by attending conferences in subjects you're interested in.. http://bamboojuice.co.uk/ is being held at Eden, and for web conferences is pretty good value, although not as good value as real grassroots stuff like the London Perl workshop I went to in november (free, 2 speaker tracks, 1 tutorial track) A. -- http://www.aarontrevena.co.uk LAMP System Integration, Development and Hosting -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/linux_adm/list-faq.html
