That's my pet hate too. I have Thunderbird set-up to thread the list
and it is annoying when people hijack a thread for something totally
unrelated. Topics such as 'XYZ {was ABC)' I can live with as they are
extending a current discussion but 'How to create a robotic Tux'
suddenly morphing into 'Anyone want to buy a cat?' is annoying. Yes
that is fictional as I didn't want to appear to pick on anyone by
choosing an actual example :)
