Kernel bugzilla reports this is "simply" a case of adding the ID to the 
driver.

Have you tried this, or is this the kind of answer that sends you 
running for the hills? I'll understand either way, I have this RAID card....

Sure someone will build a kernel or module for you if you aren't sure 
how to.
