I use sky broadband as part of a larger package of £30 a month, including sky movies, and sky disney (with the 6 add-on tv packages).  The channel selection for kids shows blows freeviw out of the water.  The only drawback is that the router is locked away, and their call centres are overseas.  There are forums however, that explain the possiblity of unlocking the router if you need to.  I've had them for about 2 years now and no problems in Plymouth.  The sky player is based on .NET though, so if consider watching movies on a laptop/VM without windows, good luck.  And it is locked away to 1 computer only.  I've not bothered to figure out if it takes a GUID or MAC address to lock the installation in to one machine.

With that said, Tom has a good point.  If you don't want the capitalist usruper Murdoch to be encouraged, spend your money elsewhere.
