With regard to gaming & openGL - I've just installed a desktop @ home with OpenSuSe 11, wine and World of Warcraft. And for the very first time, have no problems whatsoever. All I had to do to solve a very minor texture issue was to enable ogl in the link (with wine "pathtothegame" -openGL I think, I'm away from that pc now).
