The one I had came with Ubuntu Feisty I think. I immediately enabled all the necessary repositories (feisty-updates etc) and did an update. I then upgraded to Gutsy and then Hardy (the latest) via update manager. It all worked fine but the video broke, which I filed as a bug, and is now fixed.
