Along with the comments others have made, I would include remembering to
wipe your disk(s) before disposing of them - as mentioned on the
program. In this respect using Unix/Linux filesystems is no defense.

I think I read that encrypted filesystems were being considered as the
default for Fedora 9 (don't quote me on that though!). For a laptop I
would certainly consider using an encrypted filesystem.
