Any particular reason, or just you couldn't figure it out?

All GNU/Linux distros have the root partition mounted from a partition,
so that presents as a hard disk, this never stopped me mounting other
disks when using recovery media.

Oddly enough it's only been pendrivelinux I had a problem with.
Slax,DSL and featherlinux were all fine.
Slax wouldn't detect a network even when configured manually, pclinux minime
was probably the most fully featured.
I only tried it out for booting a pc with no hard drive and to show others
what linux is like now anyway.
Might try an ubuntu install later just because I can't fit a cd in my wallet
