to answer my own question here

you can view a range of options, and order from this page,  you can also 
order jewel cases if need be.  It seems you can get

30, 50 and 60 mb capacities.   I would guess ordering the latter would 
mean that a debian basic install cd will fit on 60mb and having the 
higher capacity, allows for newer iso's being bigger.
