Hi all,

Having finally decided I'd had enough of plus.net, I found a deal with
virgin.net

Don't get me started on Virgin... I had cable TV/phone/internet at my old address, the service itself was great but when I changed bank accounts in September last year they didn't take the direct debit off until November then put a note on my credit record to say I'd missed a payment in October! Then when I moved in September they thumped me with a ridiculous charge because I gave them less than 30 days notice, but I paid up anyway to get rid of them... only to get a letter a few days ago from debt collectors chasing the last payment, which they took by direct debit in October!
Upshot is, even if I moved to a cabled area, I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. My strategy now is to have as few contracts as possible, the TV is Freesat, broadband is ADSL24 who offer monthly contracts, mobile is pay as you go...  The only companies I'll have 12 month contracts with now are those you can't really avoid such as BT for the landline.
