Probably the 'lsmod' command will tell you. I'm using the 'radeon'
driver, and lsmod shows:

  radeon                114401  2
  drm                    68181  3 radeon

Details about the driver being used should be in /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(this is Fedora, so might be different for kubuntu.)
