According to Living Coasts web site it is about £31 to adopt a penguin.
They have two breeds, the Macaroni Pengins (1) and the African Pengin
(2). I found a useful site with pictures and information, turns out
there is even a Gentoo Pengin (3).

(1) http://www.penguins.cl/macaroni-penguins.htm
(2) http://www.penguins.cl/african-penguins.htm
(3) http://www.penguins.cl/gentoo-penguins.htm

I'm sure I could convince the news people where I work to do a story on
it, and I bet we could get something in the newspapers.
