No - at lease the last ones I looked at weren't - the idea is to keep the BIOS alive as long as possible and rechargeables 'leak' and even a cheap 'proper' battery will keep the BIOS going for 5 or 6 years without turning the PC on. Its easy to check tho - reset the BIOS to factory default, change something and then turn it off overnight - if the change has gone its time to get your hands dirty.
