I can't see her not needing to get down and dirty with the command line,
but then you have to do that on Windows (or more likely regedit) now and
then.

If using Ubuntu means that I have to use the command line, I going back to Tiger.  There's absolutely no reason why ordinary packages cannot be produced without the need for thickies to use the command line.  Non-thickies can do what they like but if ubuntu takes off, they are going to be the minority.

But if her PC has the right graphics hardware I don't see why the
graphics won't be more gee-whiz than Vista's.
